Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
